Joe Davidian is known as one of the go-to jazz musicians in the Nashville area, but he has had even greater acclaim as the leader of the Joe Davidian Trio (JD3).    The JD3 was formed in Miami, Florida in 2003 as an outgrowth of the prestigious University of Miami Concert Jazz Band, with Joe Davidian on piano, Jamie Ousley on bass, and Austin McMahon on drums.  The trio made an instant musical connection and began performing at area venues, forming a unique approach to playing standards and originals.  JD3 has since performed at jazz festivals around the country, including Festival Miami and Burlington Vermont’s Discover Jazz Festival, and has been invited to perform at the Ballydehob International Jazz Festival in Ireland.    Joe has backed a who’s who of jazz artists, including Dave Liebman, Carmen Lundy, Bob Mintzer, Greg Abate and Ira Sullivan.
